Sacramento’s Creative Economy Takes Center Stage at the CLTRE: EveryDay Creative Pitch Event
The latest EveryDay Creative cohort will pitch their bold ideas June 27 at Aggie Square
On June 27, Sacramento’s creative founders will step into the spotlight, pitching their businesses at EveryDay Creative Pitch Event—an evening celebrating vision, grit, and the city’s rapidly growing creative economy.
Hosted at Aggie Square and free to the public, the event marks the culmination of the CLTRE: EveryDay Creative program, a 12-week course designed to equip Sacramento’s creatives with the tools to grow sustainable, values-driven companies. Entrepreneurs from this year’s cohort will present their visions to an audience of community members, investors, and local leaders. The event will also feature keynote remarks from California State Treasurer Fiona Ma, who has long championed economic opportunity and small business growth across the state.
“Sacramento’s creative entrepreneurs are essential to the cultural and economic vitality of our city,” said Megan Van Voorhis, Director of the City of Sacramento’s Office of Convention & Cultural Services. “The EveryDay Creative program supports these visionaries as they grow businesses rooted in creativity, culture, and community. Our pitch night is a chance for the public to witness their talent and drive firsthand—and to celebrate the role they play in shaping Sacramento’s future.”
Now in its third cohort, EveryDay Creative is a collaborative initiative from CLTRE, Creative Startups, and the City of Sacramento Office of Arts and Culture. While previous cohorts have been open to creatives at all stages of their business journey, the current program was designed for creative entrepreneurs who are already in motion—earning revenue, building momentum, and looking to grow. Over 12 weeks, participants engaged in intensive workshops, mentorships, and peer collaboration, developing values-aligned growth plans, refining their pitches for funders, and exploring how to align their ventures with long-term opportunities.
“EveryDay Creative is more than just a program—it’s a community-driven initiative designed to equip creative entrepreneurs with the mentorship, resources, and funding they need to thrive in the creative economy,” said Roshaun Davis, Executive Director of CLTRE. “By investing in their growth, we’re helping turn passion into sustainable businesses that contribute to Sacramento’s cultural and economic landscape. Our goal is to create lasting opportunities for creatives to build, scale, and succeed.”

Creative Startups, the world’s first accelerator for creative entrepreneurs, leads the program instruction with their Capital for Creatives curriculum, a comprehensive overview of raising money without selling out. Capital for Creatives covers everything from determining what types of capital fit your values to protecting your intellectual property to choosing board members and collaborators. With over 700 alumni companies across 19 countries, Creative Startups brings deep expertise in helping founders grow businesses rooted in culture and creativity. Their programs have generated more than 4,000 jobs and over $335 million in capital raised.
“We are very proud to partner with CLTRE to deliver our Capital for Creatives accelerator,” said Brianna Figueroa, Executive Director of Creative Startups. “Our most recent cohort isn’t just producing powerful creative work—the sense of community they’ve built is extraordinary. They’re showing just how transformative a deeply connected creative ecosystem can be.”
